Job Description:
Because I've been through a tremendous ordeal, I have developed some patterns and habits that may need a little concentrated training. I'm a mild-mannered dog with dominant tendencies, and I like to "test" people to see where I fall on the social hierarchy. I love to play with a little muscle behind it - roughhousing is fun. I need a Master who will keep me grounded and will be the one in charge. I can also be a little object possessive. I can remember a time when having things of my own was very difficult to come by, and I guess I just like to guard what's mine. I need someone to help me work on being more trusting, sharing, and fine-tuning my manners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide love and caring
- Provide respect and understanding
- Provide food and shelter
- Provide medical attention when necessary and general health maintenance
- Commit to a long-term relationship
- Works with me daily (and patiently) to ensure good doggie manners
- Provide plenty of physical activity and walks
- Provide a cat-free home
Qualifications:
- Someone who has a good understanding of dogs and our behaviors.
- Someone who can establish and maintain a strong leadership role
- Someone who will be patient while teaching me how to be their perfect companion
- Someone with a firm but gentle hand
- Someone who is a dog lover
- Someone who does not own cats
- Someone looking for quality companionship
- Someone with love in their heart
I really do want so badly to be someone's best friend and companion. I just get a little rambunctious and forget that I'm not always the pack leader. Though I'm not a big fan of cats, I do like to play with other dogs, but need to get to know them first. If you think you are the person for the job, please apply through North Shore Animal League America.
Compensation: A best friend for life, a loyal, faithful companion, and infinite love
