Marathon Thoughts

I am so thrilled to announce that I will be running in the next New York City Marathon in November. I have always wanted to run, and this year felt like the time to just do it! I've decided to put a team together to run for all of the precious dogs and cats at North Shore Animal League America.

I am in the process of putting together my running team. Do let me know if you'd like to run with me! This is going to be so much fun... (Well, ask me AFTER the race!) My goal is to FINISH, not setting any record times! So, spread the word, and if you can, sponsor me as I run for all the wonderful dogs and cats who are in need of homes!! This is so near and dear to my heart. I want to aim high and raise as much money as I can for my favorite charity. Wish me luck, and I'll keep you posted on my marathon training.

So far I've been "upping" my mileage just a little bit - running 3-4 miles four days a week and really strength training hard with weights. I have an incredible trainer at Reebok Sports Club in Manhattan. He is tough, but I am grateful for his confidence and dedication.

Let's just do it ...FOR THE ANIMALS!!! Thank you for your support!!

xoxo,

beth O.
