Beth Stern, (formerly Beth O), spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America, the world's largest no-kill animal shelter, and her Team Go Beth O! excitedly crossed the finish line at the ING New York City Marathon on November 2, 2008!

Beth led a group of dedicated runners and supporters who pledged contributions directly supporting the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens of North Shore Animal League America. Beth made great time coming in at an impressive 4:15:39 for her 26.2 mile fete. Together, Beth and her Team raised $300,415 to date!!! All proceeds benefit the Animal League's life-saving mission to find loving homes for more than 20,000 orphaned animals each year.

The marathon may be over, but the journey is still long. With pet overpopulation alarmingly high, we still need to keep running toward a solution. Please continue to help save pets' lives and help North Shore Animal League America achieve its mission to rescue, nurture and find loving homes for as many pets as possible. They deserve our help.
