Hello everyone! Happy Belated Thanksgiving! Sorry I’m late on my Thanksgiving message, but I’ve been super busy with the holidays and have also been working hard on trying to get adopted.
Even though I haven’t found my forever home yet, I’m still very happy and I haven’t lost faith. I am so very thankful to the League for taking care of me for so long and for trying and trying to find me my perfect family. I think we’re all a little surprised at how difficult it has been, and how long it’s taking; but neither me nor the League is giving up.
But I’m grateful for everyone here – for making me feel like I’m already in my very own home, for making sure I got all better after I got sick, for waiting for the perfect family for me so that I don’t get sick again, for giving me love and treats everyday, for all my super-special friends, and for all the League does – not just for me, but for all the homeless pets here, and other places too. I’m thankful that so many of us pets get rescued from seemingly hopeless situations and then get love and care here at the League – and eventually get adopted into forever homes. I know my time will come. I know I’ll meet my forever family soon – I just know it.
Thanksgiving was a big day here at the League. It was really warm outside and we all got to play and walk extra long. We also got special treats and an extra big dinner that was sooooo good. It was so good, I gobbled (hee hee) mine up as fast as I could! I ate and ate and ate and slurped it up and kept eating and didn’t take a break at all. AND THEN.. when the last morsel was all gone, I kicked my water bowl over for the big ta-da! It made the biggest, most greatest noise ever, and I felt soooo happy! Then, after a few seconds, I stared at my water bowl and thought… “Where’s all the water? I’m kinda thirsty over here.” I just had that big meal and nothing to wash it down with. AND THEN.. as if it wasn’t bad enough that I had no water, I stared getting a little rumbling in my tummy that didn’t feel so good. Uh oh…I’ve been warned a bunch of times about scarfing down my food. It’s just so hard to resist. Luckily, it was only a few minutes before someone came in and gave me fresh water and took me out for a walk. That made me feel much better. Then when we got back, I took a looooong Thanksgiving nap. Good stuff.
Ahhhh, I love the holidays! Can’t wait til’ December!!
I hope to see you soon!
Love Your Friend,
Bradley
