Ay Chihuahuas!

May 22, 2007

Dear everybody, Hi! Know what? Usually, Mondays aren't the most exciting day of the week, but something happened yesterday that was the funnest ever. You're not gonna believe this:

I was getting one of my regular checkups when I heard barking and yelping. That's not unusual at all. But it sounded like the same little yelp happening three times all at once. Kinda weird, right? Then someone said to me, "Look, Bradley, it's Venus, Carmen and Pablo." I heard about these poor little Chihuahua puppies that didn't have their front legs. I even saw them on TV. But I'd never seen them in person til now. It's really true – all three of them don't have front legs. I couldn't believe it. I felt so bad for the poor little guys. No front legs. 'I better go over to them', I thought.

I went over to greet the poor little helpless things when all of a sudden, two of them (I'm not sure which two) stood up on their back legs and came sorta running and hopping toward me barking! They were the size of kittens and all full of energy. I actually backed up a few feet – I'd never seen anything like that before in my entire year and a half – and that's a long time! Once the two came running and squeaking at me, the littlest one followed. You're not gonna believe this, but three 2-legged Chihuahua puppies chased me down the hall, and I ran!! (They even got a nervous wheeze outta me)!

Those little guys are spun-ky, that's for sure. After a few seconds of running away I stopped, stood my ground, and the little guys hopped right up to me, and we checked each other out. Heehee.. they smelled so cute. I hate to admit it, but those are the three cutest little pipsqueaks I've ever seen. They were squeaking and squawking like baby birds in a nest. I gave each of them a big lick on the head – almost knocked'em over in the process!

Now we're buddies and whenever we see each other at the League, I'm ready to play!!

Chasing the Tail

May 15, 2007

Hi everyone. Bradley reporting for blog duty. You can’t see me, but I’m jumping up and down and twirling in a circle. I’m soooo happy… wait a minute… what’s that? I just saw something while I was twirling in a circle – it was long and black and wagging back and forth.. there it is again – hey look!  A tail! I’m gonna chase it! I’ll be right back.

Whew! I’m tired. I ran and ran but couldn’t get the thing. I got so dizzy, I had to stop. Anyway, I thought you might like to know that I finished up all that super strong medicine and had a little checkup. I found out a little more about my whole lung situation. The doctor said that I made great improvement. My coughing was much less and my chronic newmonia (I think that’s what it’s called) also shows improvement. They said that I should keep taking the super medicine until 5/28, and see how it goes then. The doctor also said that all those walks I go on are helping me a lot. I get walked 4-6 times a day, and I love every one of them – especially the ones where people run up and kiss me. Hee hee

I feel extra happy today. I really am a lucky boy. Now, where did that tail go?
