Every Spring, cats and dogs that have not been spayed or neutered give birth to countless puppies and kittens, overwhelming shelters all over the country with unwanted litters.
In 1990, an estimated 12 million animals were being euthanized in shelters across the country. Today, that number is 3.7 million. That’s a fraction of what it was, but there are still far too many pets being destroyed each year. The only way to stop 3.7 million needless deaths is to stop overpopulation, and the only way to stop pet overpopulation is through spay/neuter.
In efforts to bring awareness to pet overpopulation, North Shore Animal League America is launching our yearly Campaign to Save Pets' Lives to raise $50,000 to spay and neuter dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.
Donate now and help us stop the needless destruction of innocent animals. |

You can help! Your gift of $40 to the Campaign to Save Pets' Lives can be used to spay or neuter one cat, and $200 can help spay and neuter a female dog and her mate.
Make a donation to the Campaign to Save Pets' Lives today and help us reach this year’s goal of $50,000.
It may sound like a simple solution, but the road to reaching this goal is still long and steep. North Shore Animal League America understands the vital importance of spay/neuter and its impact on the overpopulation problem. To that end, we support SpayUSA, our nationwide low-cost spay/neuter referral website, and every dog, cat, puppy and kitten in the League’s care is spayed or neutered prior to their adoption.
Won't you please do your best to help us end the tragic suffering and euthanasia of millions of pets each year? Together, we can stop the needless destruction of innocent animals. |
