North Shore Animal League America is just delighted by the outpouring of love and support for our baby, Bradley. We are truly moved by the extraordinarily loving sentiments of so many kind and caring people, and we are thrilled to know that Bradley has touched the lives of so many.
Below is a sampling of some of the letters to Bradley we have received from all over the country and all over the world! We wanted to share them with you, and hope that you enjoy them as much as we have.
Dearest Bradley!! I first fell in love with those chocolate brown eyes when first logged onto the animal rescue site! Then tracked you down at North Shore Animal league! I have a beautiful chocolate lab too, here name is Chase and she is just like you! Unfortunately Chase and I live all the way in Singapore, otherwise would be over there in a heartbeat pleading with the league to let us have you!! We keep our fingers crossed Bradley, that the perfect family comes along!! Can't wait to hear more news from you soon!
Candi, Singapore
Hi all, I have no desire to adopt Bradley. Not because he isn't the sweetest, cutest, bravest puppy in the world, because I know he is. But because I live in Argentina and in an apartment. But I wanted to let you know that I know he'll get a great home that will fill him with love, he deserves it! From what I've read in your website, he has really pulled through with all the downsides that surrounded him, he is truly a survivor. And all of you should be extremely proud of everything you have accomplished with Bradley and with all the special needs animals you have been able to make a difference for. I salute you all! Give Bradley a big kiss on the snout for me and I know he has a great life ahead of him, no matter what.
Lara, Argentina
Unfortunately, I live in Texas and can not adopt you. I have been following your story and reading your blogs and most of them had me sitting here crying. I LOVE YOU!!! I have a rescue cat with a terrible attitude who would make your life miserable or I would drive to New York to try to get you. Don't get me wrong, my cat with the attitude is my world and I do not know how I ever lived without her. I pray that who ever is the lucky family to get you, that they treat you like a king. I pray you live the rest of your life in total luxury, as you well deserve it. hang in there, kiddo, you are one tough cookie. Love, Rene'e and Olivia. (the cat).
Rene’e, Texas
I would love to adopt Bradley, I have made contributions for him and have been following all of his updates on his health. I adopted my dog "Maverick" who is now named lucky 2 years ago from north shore animal league. Lucky has the best home and love and attention any animal would possibly want. Lucky is #1 and is very spoiled. I am a very, very big animal lover, Bradley would have the best love and care. Unfortunately, I rent an apartment and now allowed anymore pets. I have Lucky and a cat. I will continue to donate for Bradley as well as any other animals that need. Bradley has truly touched a place in my heart, I love to hear he has come a long way and making a great recovery. Bradley deserves extra special TLC and I know I would be able to provided more than enough for him, but as mentioned before unfortunately I am not allowed any more pets. If I owned my own home I would have adopted many more animals from north shore. North shore animal league is a great organization because of all of the caring and love and attention the animals need. The staff at north shore are truly special people. any donations needed will be more than willing from me. Hope Bradley gets a great home. Thank you for our dog lucky she had made such a difference in my life. I am so LUCKY to have her.
Lisa W, NY
I have been following Bradley from the very beginning, you cannot help but fall in LOVE with him. I haven't been able to donate recently because of limited income, but I know that Bradley with choose the BEST FAMILY and the BEST FAMILY will choose Bradley. Even after he is adopted I hope we will be able to continue having an update on Bradley's "New Life" and "Happiness" Good Luck Bradley you deserve the BEST.

Hi Bradley & Human Guides- We live in California and even 3000 miles away, we can see in your beautiful eyes, just how special you are. My dog Madison, and I, wish you all the love, health and happiness in the world and know you will have an incredible life ahead. Thank you North Shore Animal League for bringing out the humanity in ALL of us. You are being the positive example, while setting a standard for a special, special world! We all honor your dedication, kindness and hard work and spend special prayers, love and blessings from all the other animal lovers in the world that wish we could do it all. Good Luck Bradley and keep us posted....Also let us know your new home address, so we can send you doggie treats from around the world. Madison is a particular fan of a liver biscotti from Beverly Hills. Your smile makes us all happy and thank you for sharing your soul and story. Love always,

Dear Bradley. Your life is about to change hopefully for the better. To choose your very own family is the biggest decicion in your life. Only this choice does not come with any guarantees. I hope for you is that your family understands that you want to be part of their family and interact both outside as well as inside. If I had lived in The States I would not hesitate to make you an honored member of my wee family. Currently I have two sight hounds and one parakeet. Mike is my whippet and Connor is my beloved ex-racing greyhound who was found starving to death in front of the very gates of the royal palace in Madrid Spain. Born of Irish parents then stolen directly from the track or breeder. No one knows. One thing I do know is how much Connor changed the Life of my whippet Mike and me for the better. Tomorrow Connor represents his breed in Tivoli Copenhagen. Like you Connor rose from the ashes and has his own sofa and a brother to sweeten his once sad and lonely life. So choose with care Bradley and live a good life demand your creature comforts. Your own sofa not a shelter in the garden tied to a chain without being able to join your family in the house. To the lucky ones that Bradley puts his trust in make sure you give him the best of everything above all else give him love a roof over his head and the understanding this survivor needs. From Lisbeth and the lads in Denmark. Best wishes and good luck Bradly and new family.
Lisbeth ML, Denmark
I'm not in your tri-state area, but I will take Bradley in a nanosecond. I love his face and smile. He has touched my heart. I love animals, they are the most perfect of all of God's beautiful creations. If you cannot find a home for Bradley in your area, please please consider me. I have 2 kitties. Some of my friends have told me if there is such a thing as reincarnation they want to come back as one of my pets. Medical care is paramount, I know. God bless your work, it is so important, and I know that you will be rewarded some day for all the great things you do to protect our innocent little friends. This pic is Ming and Teddy relaxing in the kitchen.

I live in Hope BC, CANADA. So I cannot adopt even if I wanted too. I sure hope that you find that sweet adorable pup a good home.
M. R, CANADA
I have loved Bradley since I first read about him, I guess he has that effect on many people. I would love to adopt him and give him the home he so deserves, but sadly, I do not live in the Tri-State area. I do know he has been very fortunate to have you at the North Shore Animal League to take care of him, and now he is fortunate again to have you to chose a home for him, I know you will chose only the very best. Still, I will keep Bradley in my heart, I feel that he is a little bit mine and I wish our little angel lives a very long, healthy live, full of love and happiness.
Kelly, Puerto Rico
I know that I'm not eligible to adopt Bradley. Just wanted to wish him the bestest home a dog could ever have! I adopted a dog who was to be put down in 48hrs! I live in NW PA. My Gita was in Brooklyn. We drove 5 1/2 hrs to go pick her up and bring her to her new home with us. I couldn't have got a better friend! We love her lots. To whomever gets this special little dog, love him with all you've got and then some. He'll give you years of love and tail wags in return!!!
Eugene B. PA
Hi, I don't even live remotely close. I have had the companionship of several special-needs four-legged friends and know how special they are. All for-legged friends are special but "special-needs" seem to know a bit more how special they are.Good luck to you Bradley and be very picky about adopting your new family. Woof!
Amy W. WY
I wish you the best of luck Bradley, you are so adorable. I don’t live in a state listed but have been watching your progress. you're doing great. have fun in your 4ever home my friend.
Sarah, AZ
Well wishes for Bradley from TX! We would have loved for our Mommy to have been able to adopt you, Bradley, even though we're cats. She gave all of us names that start with the letter "B", you would have fit right in! We're praying NSAL takes extra care to choose just the perfect parents for you, Bradley, so that you'll continue to recuperate and hopefully regain good health. We love you, Bradley, and we're praying for you.
Bentley, Bleu, Bruce, TX
Our family would love to adopt Bradley, unfortunately we are 3,000 miles away in sunny California! We have a real menagerie, 3 cats, 2 of them rescues, 3 rabbits, all rescues, and a Siberian Husky, also a rescue! We have a huge backyard for all our animals, and would always welcome more into our home and our hearts. We pray Bradley gets a lifelong and forever loving home, we're just sorry it won't be ours.
Linda B, CA
I would love to adopt Bradley, but I live in the wrong state. I did adopt a dog that looks just like Bradley, from the Humane Society in Holly Springs, Ms. The situation in Mississippi is really sad when it comes to pets. The dog that I adopted, Quincy, had been in a cage, unadopted, for 3 years!! There are many more Labs in the same shelter, that have been there for years and need adopting.
Jacqueline J, IL
I just want to say Good Luck to you Bradley. You are a sweetie. Enjoy your new life and new home. I live far away, so can't take you home with me. Let us know how you are doing.
Louise, SD
After I saw the initial story about Bradley's fight to live, he captured my heart. I myself own a mixed lab who I adopted from North Shore over 14 years ago. During the course of her life, wewent through many crisises with her, from getting Lyme disease, being attacked by a vicious dog, and now the conditions of kidney problems and Cushing's disease that develops in old age. I know that my husband have given our wholehearted commitment and love to our Annie and spend lots of money on her drugs to keep her comfortable and happy. Because of our obligation to her in her senior years, it would unfair to invite another dog into our home with special needs at this time. However, I had to write since we did send a donation and hope and pray this sweet lovable dog gets the special home he deserves.
Lorraine B, NY
I would love nothing more than to adopt this little angel. However, my schedule is crazy with school and clinical. We are also to soon be moving to CA--in December. I really hope the right person comes along for Bradley and will give him all of the love he so needs. But, please keep us in mind if you think there is any way we might be able to help on a temporary basis. My adopted Golden Retriever is my everything..and I just couldn't image life without her. God Bless you guys for what you do!!! We love you all…keep up the great work.

Bradley really touched our hearts, it is also the caring efforts towards Bradley from North Shore Animal League that moved us the most!!! Nowadays, when dogs and cats are treated like disposable utensils, it is wonderful that you never gave up on Bradley. We are from Toronto and we are a member of NSALA and we donated for Bradley's surgery. We would adopt Bradley in a heartbeat as we only adopt dogs that are far from perfect. Our current dog is indeed that and we need to dedicate our time and finance on Eddie's need. We wish Bradley all the best and have a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL long HAPPY life!!! Love you Bradley, from
Eddieboo, Pauline, Giles, & Milo, CANADA
I help support Bradley’s surgeries. God pulled him through that. I have 3 cats can not take on Bradley. I just want to say God BLESS him on his health and new family.
Colleen C, TN
We just adopted a lab from a kill shelter after our beloved 13 year old chocolate passed away. I am sponsoring Bradley and sharing his adventures with our 9 year old daughter. Inspired, she is giving up 1/4 of her monthly allowance to sponsor sixpence. Wanted to let you know that you are helping the next generation to care as you care....
Rami, IL
i cannot adopt bradley, i already have 4 rescue angels of my own and help foster other angels, but i pray for Bradley to find a wonder and caring and loving new home one where he has happy family ... bless you bradley .
Joann, AR
I sure wish I could adopt you, but I can't since I am not in the tri-state area. You have the sweetest face and I am sure you have the personality to go with it. My family and I wish you the best and hope you find a wonderful home. You deserve it!
Kathy, TX
I can't adopt, living in Florida, but just wanted to express how happy and full of joy that Bradley is almost ready for adoption. Great job, and thank you for saving a beautiful puppy Bradley.
Yours truly,
Ron C. (Florida)
What a sweet puppy!!! I really hope Bradley goes to a wonderful, LOVING and CARING home for all that he has been through. I know N Shore Animal League will do just that. Give Bradley a big hug and kiss. Best wishes Bradley!!! I currently live in a condo, so sadly out of the running. : Laura M, CT

I'm writing to tell you what an inspirational story this has been for me to read. Thank you for all you do there. Bradley, you rock man. It's a great thing, your story, as I'm sure it will help get more needy pets to great homes, as I'm sure you'll end up too Mr. Bradley. I can't adopt you, as I'm not home enough, but I KNOW you'll find the perfect home. To N.S.A.L.A. (Bradley's parents) YOU ARE AWESOME! Here's a picture of my little girl Oatmeal (a purebred, BUT I DIDN'T BUY HER, SHE'S A RESCUE!!!) : )
Ron, FL
Although I cannot adopt Bradley....I just had to tell you how totally moved I am by what you guys do at this shelter!! I did not even have money to donate for him...I wish I did but my own dog has had some medical problems of her own and I am BROKE! but I have been following Bradley's progress....I love this dog! Well, I love all dogs and I wanted you to know that everything you do and have done...(right down to the cute little blog..) is truly...WONDERFUL!!!!
Very Sincerely,
Justine, NY
There is not doubt that I would be an excellent candidate, however, I live in Los Vegas …however, I want to wish Bradley the best of luck and wish him the best of luck and make sure you have a happy life.
Alan M L, NV
I have been following Bradley's story and blog ever since they came up online. I've been worrying and caring for this doggie as if my own (I already have one no-specific-breed sweet medium sized dog) and have wanted so bad to give him the love and caring he deserves. I have always had a weakness for special animals, those with health conditions that make them special. I don't mind the extra work because they are so much more special out of their "problem", which to me, is a part of their uniqueness. Sadly, I live in South America! In Uruguay! Then again, IF overseas adoption was an option, if you could take care of the papers and all, I'd be the happiest woman in the world. Then again, I understand it might be too stressful for him to travel, too difficult for you to go through the paperwork and too tricky to keep track of his health while being so faraway from those who operated on him and checked on him. So I guess you will discard my "application" as "unrealistical". But please promise me something... that whoever adopts him, that you will let this person know that I want really really bad to be her "godmother" from South America and to be kept up-to-date on his health and needs... I would help him in any possible way. Please keep my address and don't forget me when Bradley finds a home. I still want to have him in my life, even if far away, even if by being an online godmother to him only. The pic attached is one of me working at my computer with my doggie Gaspar, a stray dog, a lost dog that I found and whose dog we looked for months but never found... so we adopted him for good... I love all animals, all. I also have small birdies, "special needs" birdies that need special feeding or care because they have malformations that don't allow them to fly, walk, have a good balance, eat properly without extra help or that were severely wounded as children and need special help, etc. I am used to taking care to animals with special needs nad love them to pieces. Again, this is me and my doggie Gaspar. I think he is happy living with me and my partner! At least he is always playing around and waving his tale even though he is not any spring chicken *LOL* Please keep me always updated on how Bradley is doing...
Elena C, Uruguay
Hey Bradley! I'm Sadie, a VERY LUCKY Chocolate Labrador Retriever. I'm an adoptee who now lives in Olympia, WA. My mom (Donna) is writing this for me. I cannot tell you how GREAT it is to be adopted into a loving Forever Home! It's SO Niiii-iiice! I'm SO-oooo-ooo spoiled by my mom! When you get to your new home, have your new parent(s) get you a Holey Roller ball -- lemme tell ya...it's gotta be the GREATEST dog toy EVER! I can't put mine down, and they usually have to hide it from me! Hang in there, buddy -- and PLEASE keep the rest of us posted on how you're doing! Love, hugs and tons of K-9 Kisses at ya!

I wish I could but I already have 6 dogs all brought home from the streets of Miami. and I feed 8 cats every morning and evening on my front porch, not to mention the one inside and my HIV baby who lives in the garage with an air conditioned condo
Terry J, FL
I live in Ohio - I am only writing to say that I have been following Bradley's story and this is just so awesome. I wish Bradley all the best and the North Shore Animal League continued success with all of the wonderful things that you do.

Marie C, NJ
I don't live in any of the three states that are listed. I live in a small community in Arkansas. I have a big heart for animals and would do anything to help them. I have several dogs that I have rescued. I would love to have Bradley join my family. I have a wonderful vet., two of them. They know I would take care of him. My rescued friends eat and go to the vet when I do with out, I don't mind at all, they are here for me every day with wagging tails and almost a smile on their little face. I hope who ever get him will give him a loving home, food, and a pat on the head, that is all they ask for.
Cindy B, AR
The first time I stared into your eyes on the NSAL Website it was like a torch was lit in my heart. This is why I became a Bradley sponsor. I just wanted to hold you and tell let you know that so many people care about you that you will never even meet. Even if I don't get to be lucky enough to be your new parent, I wish you nothing but good joy in your new life. You deserve nothing less. I love you. Joanne, Sonny (my dog 2), Gizmo (cat 12), Buddy (cat2) & Boomer (cat 1). All adopted with much love.
Joanne L, NJ
I can't adopt Bradley, as I live in CA. and I am a foster mom, plus have 3 adopted dogs now. I have been keeping tabs on Bradley and so glad he is ready. I hope he will find a very loving home to someone who will deserve him. He should have a home with a lot of attention, loving, patient and understanding parents. Good luck Bradley I will be hoping for you.
Terri P, CA

We know we can speak for Bradley in sincerely thanking everyone who expressed their affections and shared such personal and emotional feelings. We know that he will be going to a wonderful home and feel confident that he will thrive as best he can there. And though it will be a difficult day for all of us here at the League to see our Bradley leave, we are excited that he will be in the care of a loving family in his very own home. Bradley may walk out of our doors, but he will never walk out of our hearts.
Your continued support makes it possible for the League to save the lives of animals in need – like Bradley's – and so many others. Please help us to help them.
