SPIKEY GOES HOME!

EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Our beautiful collie puppy, Spikey has finally gone home!

After almost a year in the League’s care, Spikey has finally found a foster mom to love and care for him for the rest of his life.

As you may recall, Spikey is less than a year old and probably only has about a year or so to live because of his congestive heart failure. Spikey is not in any pain or discomfort and you would never know by looking at or by observing him that he is ill. We know that his remaining time will be very happy – especially now that he has his very own family to love and to be loved by.

In a sincere attempt to find Spikey a foster family as soon as possible, North Shore Animal League America sent out a plea for help to our supporters. We are so happy that someone saw our appeal and answered our call. Only days later, Spikey was kissing us all goodbye and en route to his new foster home.

We’ve already gotten word from Spikey’s foster mom, Mary that Spikey is doing amazingly well. They have already bonded and feel like old pals. In addition, Spikey has already adjusted to his new surroundings and is eating and sleeping well. He is also very frisky and playful and doesn’t fuss when it’s medicine time. These are all signs of a very happy dog.

North Shore Animal League America is sincerely grateful to all our loving supporters who care so much about animals. Your love and support makes it possible for us to continue our mission to rescue, nurture and find loving homes for as many needy pets as we possibly can. Our pets mean the world to us – and so do you!

Please continue to help us make more Happy Tails!
