So Many Displaced Animals...

We arrived in Hattiesburg close to 8 pm last night and immediately went to work helping feed, clean, and walk the dogs. There are hundreds of wonderful volunteers here helping out but it's still not enough.
It breaks my heart to see so many displaced animals. These vulnerable animals are scared, depressed, and lonely - looking for their owners who my never find them. There are dogs, cats, horses, pigs, rabbits, and even a bowl of goldfish waiting to be back in their warm, loving homes.
We were informed today that eight animals were successfully reunited with their owners. Sadly, there are thousands more still waiting.
All we can do for now is sit and hold them and give them much needed love. We hope they can be reunited with their owners soon.
The sun is coming up now. The dogs are barking…they are calling us, we have to go.
