Co-host of Fox TV's Good Day New York Jodi Applegate is a veteran news anchor who has held principal anchor posts in New York at NBC, MSNBC and FOX in Boston where she earned a 2003 Boston/New England Emmy for her hosting and interviewing skills and an Associated Press Award for spot news reporting. Jodi, who resides in the New York area, has also served as co-anchor of the "Weekend Today Show" and co-hosted "Later Today" produced by NBC News.


Antonia "Toni" Senecal - From red carpet events to interviewing the biggest, boldfaced names Hollywood has to offer, Fox 5's entertainment reporter Toni Senecal brings Tinseltown to the Big Apple each weeknight. In addition, her entertainment reports can also be seen on “Good Day New York.” She covers award ceremonies such as the Emmy Awards, Academy Awards. Toni and her husband, award-winning cinematographer Tracy Shea have two rescue dogs - Sasha the Rottweiller and Edgar the Pitbull.

Beth Ostrosky

Beth is a long-time North Shore Animal League America volunteer and serves as its spokesperson, appearing on national and local broadcasts and in major publications. A model and television host, Beth provides inspirational words and educational pet tips in her monthly League website column.

Rachael Ray

Rachael Ray grew up in an environment of food and has parlayed that birthright into a wildly successful career as an iconic Food Network television show host, bestselling cookbook author, editor–in-chief of her own lifestyle magazine, and host of "Rachael Ray," an hour-long, daytime show that debuted on September 18, 2006. The show received seven daytime Emmy award nominations in its first year.

Gary Dell'Abate

A Long Island native who attended Adelphi University, radio producer Gary Dell'Abate has produced on-air personality Howard Stern's radio talk show for over a decade and is responsible for having brought a number of illustrious guests to be interviewed by the famous broadcaster. On the air, Dell'Abate is known as Baba Booey and tours the country giving live performances using that name. He appeared as himself in Stern's autobiographical feature Private Parts.

Robin Quivers

Robin Quivers has been in the radio business since 1980 and joined Howard Stern at DC-101 in 1981. She is now his primary co-host on his morning radio broadcast. A writer, producer, and director, she appeared as herself in Stern’s autobiographical film Private Parts.

Richard Belzer

The veteran stand-up comic, actor, talk-show host and author, Richard Belzer began his career with a starring role in Groove Tube, the counterculture film that went on to become a cult classic. Since then his talents have been featured in every entertainment medium from off-Broadway to radio, film, and television. He is perhaps best known for his work as Detective John Munch on Homicide: Life on the Street and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Katie Lee Joel

Celebrity and television personality Katie Lee Joel has appeared on Extra as a correspondent, Iron Chef America and Martha, and, in 2006, hosted the first season of Bravo's popular television series, Top Chef. The wife of the legendary musician Billie Joel., Katie Lee is known for her culinary talents. She is a member of Les Dames d'Escoffier, an organization that educates and mentors in the culinary profession, and is writing her first cookbook.

Gloria Sophia Almonte, Miss New York USA

Gloria Sophia Almonte was the first Latina to win the title of Miss New York Teen USA in 2001 and was First Runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2001. Gloria has appeared on Extra, Latingirl and LIVE Magazines, and performed in several Independent Films and was a featured extra "Mean Girls." She adopted her first dog from North Shore Animal League America and now owns a Shih-Tzu, whom she adores, named Dandy.

Josh Flitter

This young actor has a considerable resume having appeared in top major motion pictures such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jim Carrey, Big Momma’s House 2, Nancy Drew and License to Wed with Robin Williams. Josh just completed two feature films: Ace Ventura 3, in which he plays the title role and “Horton Hears a Who!”

Hallie Kate Eisenberg

One of America’s most recognizable and successful child stars, Hallie Kate Eisenberg starred in a popular series of television commercials and several films, including Bicentennial Man, The Insider and How To Eat Fried Worms. She is the recipient of the League’s Junior Philanthropist Award.

Mark Levin

A conservative author, lawyer and radio talk show host, Mark Levin’s voice is heard every weekday on WABC in New York City and in top media markets across the country on the Mark Levin Show. His recently release book, “Rescuing Sprite” recounts his family’s love for their adopted dog who passed away December 7, 2006.

Shane and Sia Barbi

Internationally known as The Barbi Twins, Shane and Sia have devoted themselves to animal causes and have lent their support to North Shore Animal League’s efforts.They have established their careers as models, authors and lecturers on topics ranging from animal protection to health and eating disorders.

Brandon Hannan

Best known for his role as Vito Jr. on The Sopranos, Brandon has long lent his support to the League, donating his time and efforts. He recently wrapped up his role in the film Our Lady Of Victory starring Ellen Burstyn.

Debbye Turner

Since 2001, Debbye Turner has been enjoying her role in broadcast journalism as a staff correspondent on CBS’ The Early Show. As a doctor of veterinary medicine, Turner also hosts regular pet segments appropriately titled Pet Planet. These informative segments about pets and pet care air on both The Early Show and the Saturday Early Show.

Julia Szabo

Julia Szabo, is a well-recognized authority with columns in the New York Post and Country Living, and a weekly live call-in show on Sirius Satellite Radio. She has also contributed to The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Bark, The New Yorker, Departures, and Interview. She also authored of The Underdog: A Celebration of Mutts (Workman).

Linda Larkin

A cinema and television actress this native Californian, who has appeared most recently in the film Joshua, is best known for providing the voice of Princess Jasmine in the animated major motion picture Aladdin and the various Aladdin sequels and spin-offs as well as in the Kingdom Hearts video game series.

Yul Vazquez

With an illustrious list of film credits, which includes The Mambo Kings, War of the Worlds, and Bad Boys II, Yul Vazquez is currently co-starring in the major motion picture American Gangster starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.

Brooke and Bruce Grossman

Brooke and Bruce Grossman (Annie and Daddy Warbucks) and Max Marmann (as Sandy) who will be lead roles in Annie Warbucks at The Cultural Arts Playhouse in Old Bethpage this December. Brooke, Bruce and Max will be appearing center stage as musical guests at the DogCatemy Awards Gala.

John Bartlett

American menswear designer and Perry Ellis Award winner John Bartlett, a Harvard graduate who studied at the London School of Economics, took inspiration for a logo from his beloved Tiny Tim, the three-legged dog he adopted from North Shore Animal League America.

Tamar Geller

Founder of The Loved Dog ®, Tamar Geller is a renowned life coach for dogs and the people who love them and is known as the "go-to" trainer for celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Ben Affleck and Nicolette Sheridan. She regularly appears as the resident dog expert on "The Today Show."

Eli, The Milk-Bone Dog Biscuit Dog

At 4 lbs., 8 oz. tiny Eli, the adopted Chihuahua of Karen Biehl of Manhattan, was a mighty contender in the 2007 Milk-Bone Dog Biscuit small dog contest. As the national winner, his likeness appears on the biscuit boxes on grocery shelves across the nation.

Bella Starlet Dog

Bella Starlet Dog, a rescue dog turned professional dog actress, loves to entertain the public with her films, commercials and print ads and promotes animal advocacy for her furry friends with her annual NYC Village Halloween Parade float.
