On Friday, September 14th dogs ruled at the Big Apple’s Shea Stadium when the New York Mets hosted North Shore Animal League America’s Dog Night at Shea. More than 700 dog lovers and their pets paraded around the field with music blaring, flashes popping, and thousands of fans applauding as the furry entourage was projected onto the jumbo Diamond Vision screen. NSALA supporters poured in from the Tri-state area, including an enthusiastic contingency from the “Northern NJ Pug Extravaganza”, and hundreds of animal-loving families who were among the first to receive the League’s new giant blue foam paws used to cheer on the Mets as they faced the Phillies. North Shore Animal League America extends a huge “thank-you” to all their friends and supporters who came out for this fantastic event!
