Dear North Shore Animal League America,
Hello! Please accept our apologies for sending this out so late. Here is a paragraph about Maggie:
We were blessed with Maggie in early December 07. We had wanted to get a Yorkie (Yorkshire terrier) for about a year. Finally we were ready and learned that North Shore Animal League America brought potential adoptees to Petco in NYC. Maggie was the first dog we saw. We put our fingers through the cage and she responded to us. An Animal League representative took her out of the cage and gave her to me to hold . . . she was a perfect fit.
Then a wonderful thing happened – she fell asleep in my arms. That decided it – she was our dog now. Our next step was over to the adoption table.
Maggie has had a difficult past (physically and emotionally), but you would hardly be able to tell now. She has finally gotten what she deserves: a loving home with a devoted family.
We have included "before and after" photos of Maggie.
Thank you again for being a part of bringing such joy into our lives.
Sincerely,
Amy Langdon and Bill Hirtz
