Kim Lasek
Kim Lasek works as a Trainer for North Shore Animal League America. Having grown up in a home with a variety of cats and dogs, she always had a love and respect for all animals. It was this passion that led her into the training field. At first, she studied Marine Biology in efforts to become a Marine Mammal Trainer. Later, she changed her major to Behavioral and Developmental Psychology. While still attending school, Kim started working at North Shore Animal League America as a part-time Kennel Associate. Soon after, she transferred to a full-time Adoption Counselor. Her education in Psychology has helped her to understand and empathize to the psychological development of puppies and dogs. After five years with the department, Kim departed for a brief leave. However, when she discovered an opening in the Pet Behavior Department, Kim came back to NSALA and went back to her roots. Her past experience and education made the transition a smooth one, and she has remained in this rewarding position ever since.
