North Shore Animal League America and ARTT Once Again Join Forces, Rescuing Twenty-two Taiwanese Dogs
March 17 (Port Washington, NY) -- In partnership with Animal Rescue Team Taiwan, ARTT, North Shore Animal League America has again collaborated in a rescue operation, airlifting twenty-two dogs from Taiwan to the United States. This is the Animal League’s fourth rescue with ARTT since October, 2007. North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal organization.
Following behavioral and medical evaluation at the Animal League, the twenty two animals, including a mother with six eight week-old puppies, will be made available for adoption at the shelter in Port Washington, NY.
ARTT was founded as a protection group to help save dogs from senseless slaughter in countries where animals are not revered as they are in the United States. ARTT arranged for air transport of the animals to the States with volunteers who serve as escorts.
Residents of the Tri-State Area (NY,NJ,CT) are asked to consider adopting one of these deserving animals into a loving, safe,” forever” home.
